Kitchen drain cleaning in Tbilisi
A kitchen drain blocks with grease almost every time. Hot water carries it a little further, then it cools inside the pipe and settles on the wall — every wash thickens the layer until the water stops altogether.
Who it is for
- Flats — sink and dishwasher outlet
- Houses — the long horizontal run from the kitchen
- Cafés and restaurants — kitchen pipework up to the grease trap
Why it blocks
- Grease settling in a cold pipe
- Food waste and coffee grounds
- Detergent residue and hard-water scale
- Too little fall, or pipework rerouted badly during a renovation
How we clear it
We take off the trap or outlet and feed the hose straight into the kitchen run. For grease we use a finer nozzle that washes the wall rather than just leaving a hole through it.
If the pipe is old and already narrowed, we build the pressure up gradually — the point is to clean the pipe, not to damage it.
We finish by running hot water and checking how quickly the sink clears.
What it costs
A kitchen sink in a flat and a restaurant kitchen are different sizes of job: a few metres in one case, tens of metres plus a grease trap in the other. We quote on site, after seeing the pipe, before starting.

Common questions
Would a degreaser be better?
It dissolves the surface layer and lets water through for a while, but the build-up on the wall stays and the blockage returns. On an old pipe it also does damage.
Is the dishwasher to blame?
Often it is what reveals the problem: it dumps its water all at once, and a pipe that has already narrowed cannot take that volume.
How often does a restaurant need it?
It depends on the load. A busy kitchen usually every two to three months, so it never stops mid-service.
